Design Guidelines have been adopted to help you plan improvements to your home and yard that are harmonious with the overall neighborhood.  Unless the Design Guidelines or Declaration of Covenants say otherwise, any change to the exterior of your home or yard must be approved by the Association  before any work is done.

If you are planning to improve or change the exterior of your home or your yard, follow this simple process:

Step 1:  Review the Design Guidelines and Declaration of Covenants.  These documents outline what will or will not be allowed in the neighborhood.  We recommend that you review these documents before planning your improvement.  If you plan to paint or change any color on the exterior of your home, also review the Approved Paint Colors list.

Step 2: Submit your Architectural Change Application (ACA).  You can do this by downloading the form and sending it in by email or through the portal.  To ensure that your ACA isn’t returned, be sure to submit all of the requested information.

The ARC meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  The deadline for receipt of applications is 5 pm on the Friday prior to the meeting week.   Applications received after that date will be reviewed at the next month’s meeting.  Decisions are uploaded to the portal the week after the meeting.

Step 3: Allow the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) time to review your ACA.   This process usually takes 15-30 days, so plan ahead.

Step 4: Start your project.

Remember — following this process is easy, and can also save a lot of time and effort in the long run as unapproved changes to your property could result in fines or other enforcement action.

Additional Information — If a neighbor disapproves of a modification to someone’s home, the homeowner must send a written complaint to the ARC within 30 days.  Also, before a neighbor signs off on an Architectural Change Application (ACA), all information must be filled out prior to signing.
